EMF Levels Chart - Get A Reliable Reading
Would you like to get an EMF levels chart? Then why not consider hiring an EMF inspector to do an inspection of EMF radiation in your home?
Book an EMF Inspection!
An EMF inspection can be helpful if you’re worried about possible sources of exposure. Inspections are also done when you’re getting ready to sell or buy a home. Either way, an EMF inspection can provide you with the information needed to keep you and your family safe and healthy.
What is an EMF Inspection?
An EMF inspection measures the amount of EMF exposure and finds sources of this exposure in and around your home.
An EMF inspector will check your home’s appliances, electrical system, garage, kitchen, and exterior of your home for sources of EMFs. The inspector uses very sophisticated tools for the inspection, including specialised meters.
The inspector will check your home’s wiring and ground, look for hotspots from electrical panels, electric motors, and HVAC units. Then they will check for external sources of EMFs, including cell masts, power lines, and more.
They will also check smart meters and other suspected sources of EMF radiation. Inside your home, they will check all appliances and electrical devices, as well as rooms (bedrooms, for instance) that are near meters and cabling.
When the inspection is completed, the inspector will write up a report with their findings. The report will also include charts. That’s how you can get an EMF levels chart!
The report will record the time, date, location, and weather conditions for the day the measurements were taken. It will also record the distance from the measurement location to the EMF sources, as well as the source’s identity.
And if anyone in the home has medical issues, these will also be recorded in the report.
Finally, the EMF inspection report will also include health assessments of risks from EMF exposure. The information will include the level of risk from the noted sources.
In the end, the inspector will also include information on how you and your family can protect yourselves against the EMFs. And you’ll get an EMF levels reading with the report.
What Causes EMF Fields?
EMFs are electromagnetic fields that are generated by nature, as well as by man-made devices. Some of the most common man-made sources of EMFs include:
- Power lines
- Transformers
- Electrical appliance
- Current flow in utility pipes
- Laptops & computers
- TVs
- And more
Basically, any electronic or electrical device can create EMFs. Our devices and appliances will only create EMFs when they’re plugged in and turned on or when they’re plugged in and turned off. It’s true. When a device is plugged in but turned off, it can still create EMFs.
Two Types of EMFs
There are two types of EMFs:
- ïHigher frequency also called ionising radiation
- ïLower frequency also called non-ionising radiation
Sources of ionising radiation include gamma rays, x-rays, and more. This type of radiation has been proven to damage cells & DNA.
On the other hand, non-ionising radiation does not cause damage to cells & DNA.
Can EMFs Make You Sick?
While the research has not demonstrated a convincing tie between our health and EMFs, there are people who seem to be very sensitive to these fields. These people tend to come down with a wide range of symptoms that are non-specific to EMF exposure:
- Lack of concentration
- Insomnia
- Memory problems
- Depression
- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Painful, itchy, burning sensations
- And more
The problem is these symptoms are also common to many other health issues. So, it’s difficult to tell whether the symptoms are caused by EMF exposure or to underlying health issues.
Protect Yourself & Your Family from EMF Exposure
There are some steps you can take to reduce the amount of EMF you and your family are exposed to. You can try these methods:
- Limit and reduce the number of smart devices used on your body and in your home (these include smartwatches, Bluetooth headphones, electric toothbrushes, and more).
- Remove all electronic devices from your bedroom.
- Keep distance between yourself and a computer/laptop. Avoid putting the laptop in your lap when using it.
- Use EMF blocking paint in your home, especially on walls that are near EMF sources on the inside or outside of the home.
You might want to also consider hiring an EMF inspector to have an EMF inspection done of your home. That way, you’ll have a report that can guide you on which sources are problematic. You’ll also get an EMF levels graph showing radiation levels around your home.
Searching for an EMF Inspector
In this section, we’ll take a quick look at how to find an EMF inspector to conduct a survey of your home. First, how do you know if an inspector is good? Are there any credentials to look for?
Start by searching for a building biologist. These are specialists who have knowledge of indoor environments and the problems that can affect your health. They know about building materials, air quality, EMF radiation, and more.
You can search for an EMF inspector who is accredited by the International Institute for Building Biology and Ecology.
The Survey – Get an EMF Levels Chart
Once you’ve found the right EMF inspector, it’s time for the EMF inspection. The inspector will take measurements of radiation all through your home, as well as outside. They will also look at any nearby substations, power lines, and more.
The survey will include checking each room, looking for hotspots and sources, checking appliances and wiring, too. The inspector will also check smart meters, lighting & heating circuits, and more.
In the end, you’ll receive a detailed report with the EMF inspector’s findings. You should also get an EMF levels graph, as well as advice on how to fix any issues.
Having an EMF survey is a great way to find out if your property is being exposed to EMF radiation. A survey will give you peace of mind, as well as help you resolve EMF issues found on the property. And remember, you’ll also get an EMF levels reading with your report!
What our customers say
Mrs Kirk-Cage
I am currently purchasing a property near a substation and was concerned about any health risks associated with it. Although I work in a school and there are sometimes substations located nearby. Alex came and tested inside the property and around the garden and location of the substation. I received a report within 2 days (on a weekend). It was extremely detailed and concise. I still had a few questions and on he Monday Alex called me to put my mind at ease. I would HIGHLY recommend the company without reservation.
Clare Haskins
Found this company from a simple Google search but from the first interaction, they were highly impressive; Professional, detailed and flexible but also warm, very supportive and easy to talk to (especially as a novice!). A first class customer experience with real value-add output - we cannot recommend EMF Detection highly enough, great value for money and send thanks to Alex and the team for a superb customer experience.
Rhys Turner
Thank you for providing all that information about pylons (can’t stop seeing them everywhere now ha)
The report is very detailed and the service on a whole was great.
Many thanks
Alana Crabtree
Great communication throughout. Provided a lot of information in response to my many, many questions (sorry again)
Will 100% recommend if/when anyone asks for an EMF survey.
Sharon Rogers
Alex was very informative and the report gave us clarity on whether or not the pylons we were previously concerned about were harmful or not.
Definitely recommend! Thank you
Robert Chekowski
Alex was very professional, very knowledgeable. We had plenty of questions and alex was always available to speak to.
Well ran business
